noru. [Tel.] n. The mouth. naktramu, mukhadvaramu. G. noti, nori. Abl. nota. Plu: nollu nota with the mouth. noru muyyi hold your tongue. noruleni dumb, unable to talk. noru lenivadu a simpleton. norukottu to strike on the mouth, i.e., to silence, check, rebuke; to deprive of one's rights or enjoyment, to plunder, spoil. norukacu to watch one's lips, to keep a secret. norukattu to restrain the appetite. notilo aducunnadi I have it at the tip of my tongue. vaninoru mancidikadu he is a foul mouthed fellow. peddanoruceyu to talk loud or abusively. norupadina speechless. notipeda foolish, ignorant, senseless. notimata a mere word of mouth. norumenga noru-menga. n. A dumb man. mugavadu. notiki vaccinattu tittenu he gave them all the abuse that he could think of. na notlo mannukottinadu he cast earth in my mouth, i.e., he destroyed my hopes or prospects. noruru nor-uru. v. n. To water (as the mouth). To desire, apeksincu. na norurucunnadi my mouth waters. vanito nivu yela norucesukontavu why do you quarrel with him? norettu nor-ettu. v. n. To raise the voice, cry, speak. To try to speak, matada yatnincu. noradu nor-adu. (noru+adu.) v. n. Meaning of నారు
nāru. [Tel.] n. A tender young sprout, or plant. Young plants kept to be transplanted. నారుమడి a field thickly set with grain to be afterwards transplanted. నారునప్ప a shoot, &c. (anuk.) నారుపాటలు nāru-pāṭalu. n. Common ballads or ditties regarding a fairy or goddess named నారు which presides over tender plants. నారుపోయు nāru-pōyu. v. n. To sow corn thickly, for the purpose of afterwards transplanting it. మిరపనారుపోసినారు they planted chilie seed in beds.
